◊ && This Face is Going Somewhere ◊
Divan has the appearance, and likes to be known as, the 'tough' girl.
Her person of an average build of 145, and a height of 5'7''. She isn't very thin compared to what other girls are seen as. Divan's body is very curved, petite, and well built due to kick-boxing. Her facial features basically the same as any other teenaged Japanese female. Skin pale, and hair of a brunette colour so darkened that it can be sometimes mistaken for black, though, in the sunlight, it shines a tinge of red within the layered strands.
Divan's hair is usually seen down, and straightened, and matted with layers. Or, mostly, wavy, because she would be too lazy to flatten it out. She does nothing special to it, maybe a headband, or a barrette or two. Her bangs are cut to the right side of her face, nearly covering her eye. You will sometimes see her stress over brushing the strands back with her fingers trying to see.
When Divan isn't in school uniform, she would mostly be clad in tight jeans and a band t-shirt. Occasionally she would wear a dress or skirt. But, of course, being almost a tomboy she is rarely seen in any. She fonds over shoes, however, whether it's heals or a pair of nice flats. When Divan was young, she was raised with two brothers, and no sisters. As she grew around the age of eleven to thirteen, she would wear nothing but baggy hand-me-downs, her hair also cut short at the time. Making others mistake her for a boy. Even as she sttended school she'd refuse to wear the girl's uniform.
Nowadays, she loves to wear make-up. And very good at applying it too. Though, also lazy about the tedious work, she would simply put on mascara to conceal her very light eyelashes. Her face is barely blemished, with nice, high cheekbones. Divan's most unique feature are her eyes, the colour of the irises a light gray, tinted with a little gold.
When She was younger, Divan was seen as a fair-haired girl, with large green eyes, and slightly plump features. Her skin had more colour than she does now. And of course, other children made fun of her for looking so much like a male in her early years.

◊ && I’ve Wasted Enough Time Already ◊
Born into a family of two brothers, not of the same father, and a single mother. Around the time she was four years old, her father left, running off with another woman. Divan had a tough time coping about this in school, often watching other children with fathers of their own to pick them up. She would act up and goof off in class to grasp attention, negative or not, until she enrolled up into second grade.
Having not much money, Divan would receive her brothers' hand-me-downs, which were all too big on her. She didn't know better at the time, so she was completely content and fine with it. Growing up with only boys, she had a great influence. Divan wanted to be one of the guys, so she requested that her hair be cut short. And, of course, she was seen as a boy, her teachers had to be reminded otherwise.
Divan still had a tough time at school, but being around her peers. She was a bright girl, and exceeded well in her subjects, and she was often picked on for this. Her brothers, on the other hand, who, one was in Junior high, and the other was a freshman in highschool, skipped class once in a while, and pulled pranks on others. At first, she didn't like this, and thought this was immature.
By the time Divan turned thirteen, she and her mother got into a serious car crash, A drunk driver colliding into the driver's side. Her mother didn't survive, and Divan just barely. Ever since then, her brothers had the responsibility to raise her, them being eighteen, and the oldest twenty. Without her mother, this has triggered the traits of missing class, and drawing attention by being the class clown or picking fights.
Within her High School years, the fights and pranks have worn down, though Divan still missed school. This is when she started taking dueling as a hobby, being influenced by a close friend, whom she's known since Junior High, Katsuya Junouchi, and another, Mutou Yuugi, who she met in her Sophmore to Junior year in High School. Now only one brother watching over her, while the oldest(being 23 now) traveled to America to become a culinary chef in New York.
She looks into the future and hopes to one day become a famous manga artist, and someone many people will look up to. As well as be known as a great duelist, next to Kaiba and Yuugi, and her friend Joey.

◊ && I’m the Next Great Thing ◊
Divan was, at first a quiet and shy child. In her early years she never spoke out, even when being teased. She would be the one sitting in the corner, her nose in a book, or staring blankly out into space.
At her current age she can still be quite shy, around new people. On other cases she's loud, stubborn, and hyper. Without realizing she can also be sometimes mean and selfish. Around her friends she loves to make jokes. This was influenced by a close friend. Though, Divan can take it too far. This is on a good day.
If she is in a bitter mood, one of two outcomes happens. Either, she withdraws herself and just shuts everyone out. Or she becomes even louder, which just gets her into more conflict. She'll fight untill all steam is let out, then all will becom normal again.
She is rarely seen sad. Being hurt just channels into anger, and she never cries.
Divan is a very stubborn child, and refuses to give up on a challenge. She likes to be the 'tough' girl, and stand up for herself and others.(this has gotten her into trouble many times) Whether it's and adult or someone her age, or someone bigger than she is, Divan takes nothing from them, hate being bossed around. She likes to be her own person, and ignores what others say otherwise. Though, the girl likes to make trouble now and then. Divan gives good advice to those who need it. Being the troublemaker her is, she doesn't like to see others turn out that way.
When she grows shy(this is usually around her crush), Divan would tend to giggle frequently, then speak constantly about nothing. She was never good at talking to boys she likes, though she tries her best to be herself. As a little girl, Divan would become more feminine to impress the ones she liked. Sometimes, she would still do the same thing.

◊ && This is Me ◊
Can't beat me at Creativity! I'm going to strive to be one of the best comic artists! I love to draw and write, and knowing that others enjoy my work.
Though you may win at Maybe dueling, but hey, it's nothing to cry over. The fun is what it's all about. I'm bad at any other sport except for boxing and karate. I really don't care for other sports anyway.
I Like I love reading and writing and drawing. I enjoy fighting, but only when it's just for fun. Eating is also one of my favourite hobbies, people look at me funny, but I give no notice. My tastes are my own, and nobody else's. Sleep is also good in my book. And I love animals. :]
I Don'tLike school much, Teachers make assignments and subject too complicated, and they don't give much example. I hate bullies, and pompous jerks who look down on others. What makes them so different? They're human, too aren't they?
Keep Away To tell you the truth, bugs scare me. Crickets, spiders, roaches, ew! High places are a no, no. =[ The only time I would cry is when I'm up in a high place. Hey, it's stressing! I don't want to lose my friends, little in number or not. If I couldn't do anything for someone, then there really isn't a point to life is there?
Abilities None, only that she is a fighter. And will pursue in whatever dreams she has in the future, she hates the idea of giving up, and always finds a way.
Extra Nope.

◊ && This is a Champion ◊
Note: (Sorry if this isn't any good, I haven't role played in a while, and I'm sort of following the anime series, so I hope you don't mind.)
The two teens hung out on the rooftop of Divan's apartment complex. Junouchi, anxious now after receiving a tape mailed from his younger sister, explains to Divan how important this was to him, to join Yuugi to travel to Duelist Kingdom to win the great prize for Shizuka's surgery.
"C'maan, Dev. Have a little a little enthusiasm for me? This might be my chance to win the prize money for my sista', and be known as the second greatest duelist!"
Junouchi might as well be talking to thin air. Divan absorbed with a piece of artwork she was continuously erasing and sketching. Stressing over to make the lines and curves look appealing, her fingers darkened with graphite. She had only been listening to but a few words he had to say, nodding idly and repeating the same response once or three times.
"Uh huh... Oh yeah? Nuh'huh..."
Junouchi just stared now, expression exasperated. His lips pressed to a thin line, taking a few steps forward. The soles of his sneakers scuffing against the pavement, until he towered over the girl, blanketing her frame in his shadow. He bent over, snatching the square eraser from her hand.
"Hey!"
"Were ya' even payin' attention?"
"Well, of course I was! Give that back!"
Divan whined slightly, outstretching her arm to retrieve her eraser from the blonde. Junouchi just pulled it even further away from his reach. He sighed, walking over, casually to the edge of the building.
"I swear, kid, ya' get to into that drawing stuff too much, you don't even listen to what anybody has to say, even if it was important."
"Excuse you!? You said something about winning something for your sister right? I payed attention to that much. Now give me my eraser! C'mon, my mother bought that for me!"
He shrugged, then turned his head to look at her over his shoulder. Junouchi smirked, then drew his arm back, eraser in hand. He then flung it forward. Divan, already up, shrieked and ran after him, nearly bumping into him afterward. She shoved him out of the way, mouth agape, a breath caught in her throat. The girl looked left and right to where he'd might have tossed it. He obviously must have thrown it far. Because, she hadn't seen it as soon as she got near him when the action was made.
Full of rage, she balled up her fists. Her cheeks flared in anger, body emitting small tremors. Divan snapped her head toward the delinquent, eyes burning with tears that she attempted to force back. Oh, how she wanted to hit him.
"You... You...!"
Junouchi blinked for a brief moment, then smiled. He opened his right palm, holding out the piece of rubber to her, pinching it in between his index and thumb.
"Was just kidding~."
