Psyren. An unknown land that is practically barren of any human life. Mankind is barely surviving but moreso they're oppressed. It's a world that is considered to be man's worst nightmare. A new dictator government called the WISE has established complete rule over it and anyone who stands against them are crushed under their feet. Grotesque creatures named Tavoo enforce this rule even further, bowing under the feet of their rulers.
But what is this place? Where has it come from? And why? No one is sure but there is only one way to find answers. To travel to this world itself. But how? A wealthy benefactor name Sano Yamamoto, owner of one of the world's largest game development companies, has developed a new game. This game is considered to be revolution in modern gaming and is being beta-tested by selected people. Almost nothing is known about this game, its origins or its actual contents.
The game has arrived at your doorstep. Its a simple red card with the words "Psyren" in black etched across it. It came with simple instruction; "Hold card up near any type of TV and wait". With some hesitation, you exactly what the instructions say and soon you black out. When you awakened, you find yourself in a barren and dead land, stripped completely of life.Welcome to Psyren.
