Marik has light purple eyes which can remind some people of daydreaming and clouds. His hair is a striking (almost white) blond, and his skin is a medium tan. Marik has a liking towards jewelary, so he adorns himself with necklaces, arm bands, and more. Malik's clothes consist of a sleeveless purple midriff top and a pair of black pants.

[size=1When Marik was a young child, he was brought up by the ancient teachings of writings and of the Pharaoh. His father wanted him to carry on the legacy of the Pharaoh, even if it meant him (Marik) to guard the Millennium Rod and Tauk in the tomb for the rest of his life. Marik was reluctant to give up his freedom. Especially when his father tatooed the Pharaoh's story onto his back, which resulted in the peak of his anger. This caused him to be infused with an evil entity. With the help of his rare hunters, Marik carried out many evil tasks in order to complete his plan of becoming Pharaoh. One of his tasks included defeating Yugi in the Battle City Tournament, which failed. Odion, his brother, freed him from this evil entity with the help of Yami Yugi.

Marik has two personas. One evil and one good. The evil one was banished to the Shadow Realm after a duel with Yami Yugi, leaving the good persona in control. Good Marik is not potrayed much, but he seems to be very confident and has remorse for what his evil side did.
