◊ && This Face is Going Somewhere ◊
If Kaiba's personality weren't so socially aggressive, he would be exceedingly popular with women. Not only is he rich but Seto is genuinely handsome. His face is a bit heart shaped, the angles of his cheeks a bit straighter like the point of his chin. Seto visibly has a strong jaw, probably from all the teeth gritting he does. He's symmetrically balanced from the top of his head to the tips of his toes, save perhaps the occasional style of his hair. Seto has sapphire blue eyes, often cold in nature. His eyes are slightly almond shaped, eyelashes thick. His bangs fall into his eyes as it is too long in the front. His chestnut colored hair curves to the shape of his head, curving down the back of his neck where it ends.
Seto is a very tall man. He towers over most of the people he knows no matter how much older than him they are. Most of his height comes from the great span that is his legs. Rarely does Kaiba show any skin beyond that of his face, small expanses of his neck, and his hands. He wears turtlenecks and long, slim fitting pants that only accentuate the length of his legs. Appearance-wise, Seto's trademark pieces of clothing are long trench coats, simple but attractive. His favorite is one sleeveless snow white on the outside, the inside a rich crimson. The thick, high collar is decorated with silver half spheres spaced evenly along the outside. All his trench coats are one of a kinda, fitted specifically for Seto. Speaking accessories, Seto wears close to none. He wears straps (two on each side) on his arms and three on his lower legs. On his forearms, he wears long metal cuffs. However, the most mentionable add-on he adorns is the necklace that rests under his shirt in the shape of a Duel Monsters card. In it resides a picture of Mokuba.

◊ && I’ve Wasted Enough Time Already ◊
All stories start at the beginning and stop at the end. However, both the beginning and the end of Kaiba Seto's life are unknown, the latter because it has yet to happen, and the first due to being orphaned at a very young age. If Seto does remember the introduction to his story there is little to no chance he'll tell the likes of you so there's really no point dwelling on it. And so chapter one begins with the end of an uninformative prologue.
>>.book one.<<
Perhaps the best way to understand the twisted fate that befell Seto is not by describing him but rather the man that was his adoptive father. Kaiba Gozaburo was successful, rich. He had everything. Until he lost his only son and heir, Kaiba Noah. Gozaburo, though distraught, managed to download Noah's mind into a super computer. He planned to find another body for his son. To this body, he would implant Noah's mind, therein reanimating his son albeit with a different face.
However, Seto did not realize the plight he was putting both he and Mokuba into. Determined to secure their futures, Seto made a plan. They had been become orphans at a young age after their parents had died in a horrendous car accident. Seto had promised to protect him no matter what. Unfortunately, Seto found salvation in the Kaiba's. Gozaburo, after winning his six world chess tournament, had donated 100,000 US dollars to the very orphanage the brother's were living in. He took a trip to the home, where Seto challanged the six time world champion to a chess match. The stakes were high for the both of them. If Seto lost, it meant he had failed Mokuba. If Gozaburo lost, he would have to take Seto and Mokuba into his home as their children. Seto, a genius perhaps since birth, used Gozaburo's own strategies against him, and won the match.
Seto's victory did not last long. Soon after he and Mokuba were housed within the Kaiba mansion, Seto was forced to study and learn all the curriculum Gozaburo saw fit. He was punished for inaccurate and even 'insufficient' answers and his study habits never let up, leaving the young boy often drained. Mokuba did his best to help Seto, the older brother thankful beyond words. Mokuba was what kept him going. Knowing that he was okay was enough for Seto.
Seto was forcibly trained so heavily due to he being the new successor to Gozaburo. The man had tossed away his plans to recreate his biological son. Seto would do better than Noah had. However, Seto's ideas for Kaiba Corporation were drastically different than his step-father's. Seto thought of gaming parks and Duel Monsters, while Gozaburo attempted to drill into his head that Kaiba Corp. was arms manufacturer. It was made to aid wars, not entertain. Disgusted with Gozaburo's plans, Seto resolved that he would take the company from him. The chance came in the form of a test. A battle between step-father and adoptive son for control. Whomever came out with the most shares of the company won. After six years, Seto's efforts paid off (he controlling 51% of KC compared to Gozaburo's 49% and therein having the most control) and he was given the CEO position of Kaiba Corp. Broken by his failure to a child, Gozaburo committed suicide. Undaunted , Seto turned the company away from military weaponry to the games he'd wanted. Both he and Mokuba's futures were officially secured.
>>.book two.<<
Kaiba Seto began to redesign the duelist world. Duel Monsters, continually growing more popular throughout the world, was the focus of Kaiba Corporation. Seto manufactured items to bring the flat image of a card to life, creating holographic imaging making the game span out before the duelist's eyes. In addition, he began to work on ways to make products that could be carried with the duelist, making holographic dueling accessible anywhere. His ideas caught everywhere, stationary dueling arenas installed in hundreds of thousands of places as Kaiba worked on his transportable dueling systems. Being a revolution in the duelist world, Seto was top of the game, and happy to be there.
It was Yugi Mutou that shattered his status of being the Duel Monsters world champion.
Obsessed with owning the Blue Eyes White Dragons, Seto successfully forced three of the four Blue Eyes of the world out of their owners hands and into his own. Only one remained out of his grasp, and this lay in the hands of Sugoroku, Yugi's grandfather. Determined, Seto kidnapped both Sugoroku, forcing him to duel with the card on the line. Sugoroku ultimately looses, no match for the world champion. Seto's motives, however, were not to own the card himself, but to destroy it, rendering it useless for any other person to use it against him. Enraged, Yugi dueled Seto to defend his grandfather. Luck was not on Seto's side that day. Even with three Blue Eyes, Seto was crushed, Yugi doing the impossible, and drawing all pieces of Exodia.
Confused and broken, Kaiba left his corporation and his brother to find himself and where he stood. Never had he been denied anything. Never had he lost to anyone. The revelation that he was not the best was too strong for him to understand.
However, not all went as it was planned when Seto left. Mokuba was kidnapped by the creator of Duel Monsters, Pegasus J. Crawford. Pegasus planned to steal Kaiba Corp. away from Seto while he was gone with the help of the Big 5 who Kaiba lied to and stripped of power. Seto is forced to go to Duelist Kingdom to retrieve Mokuba, his biggest weakness. He is informed he must defeat Yugi in order to duel Pegasus and retrieve his brother. He does so, defeating Yugi by putting his own life on the line and forcing Yugi to forfeit. Proceeding to Pegasus, Seto's efforts are in vain as the Sennen Eye overpowers him. He looses and his soul is taken like Mokuba's.
Seto is saved later by his own arch-rivial. Upon Yugi's defeat of Pegasus, the creator of Duel Monsters is forced to release the souls he's taken. Seto retrieves his consciousness, taking Mokuba from the island and back home.
>>.the beginning of book three.<<
A woman spouting ludicrous nonsense, half of which Seto does not bother to remember. Talk of past lives and pharaohs and priests and monsters. The only monsters Seto knows are the ones printed on his cards. A secret kept from all of Duel Monsters, Pegasus's memory rears its ugly head. But this time, Seto's not so keen to turn away.
God Cards.
Ishizu Ishtar tells him many things, most of which do not stick. But the God Card she places into his hands opens new horizons. He hears her swear up and down that he is a reincarnation of a man carved into stone, he hears her talk of her brother who Seto deems insane, he hears her foretell the future as her necklace allows. And that's all good and well because Seto can forget it all later. But the God Cards are a different story. With Obelisk the Tormentor put in his hands, Seto will be unstoppable. Ishizu asks of him to begin a tournament to drag her brother, whose stolen the remaining two cards, out into the open.
Prior to this, Seto had perfected his idea of easily transportable duel holographics, his duel disk becoming attachable at the arm, not only creating the life-like image of monsters, but giving a place to put both deck, on and off the field cards during the duel. Having agreed with Ishizu to draw out Malik and his Ghouls for his own motives (acquire God Cards two and three), Seto begins the Battle City tournament.
All preparations are set and Battle City has begun.
With Obelisk the Tormentor in his deck, Seto believes there's no way he can loose. Not only will he have the three remaining Blue Eyes, but the three Egyptian God cards as well.
Here and now, he'll regain his title as the world's Duel Monsters' Champion.

◊ && I’m the Next Great Thing ◊
Perhaps the most obvious thing upon first glance is Kaiba Seto's ample arrogance. He believes he is greater than any man, woman, being, on the face of the earth, hence why any sort of loosing comes as both a shocking and catastrophic blow not only to his ideals but his pride. His arrogance is born from this very pride. He is determined to succeed, though it is not only for himself. As well as his self-importance, he tends to be highly sarcastic. Nearly all of the comments that come from Seto's mouth are rude or dismissive. He has the fantastic ability to knock both the person he's degrading, their friends, and everything they stand for in one breath. To put it bluntly, Kaiba Seto is an as.s.
In his own defense (though he'll find no need to do so as there is no one he needs defend himself to), Kaiba's childhood was not the greatest. He keeps many things to himself and is often secluded within rooms, seated before the finest technology as he works out the kinks in a new program. In the same sense, Seto is the kind of man who sees a plan through to the end. If he resolves to do something, it would take an astronomical amount of effort to sway him away from completing it. When he wants something, he works for it until he has it.
Kaiba's social skills, as noted prior, are very poor. He seems to have a case of misanthropy, a theory proven by his inability to deal with others and his knack for things that are not human, such as computers and machines of any kind. He speaks down to others and holds himself in obvious respect as something others should kneel before. Anyone that rebels against him is quelled as fast as possible. However, in cases where 'quelling the rebellion' is difficult to complete (ie: Yugi & Co.), Seto grows a deep grudge close to the point of obsession. He will continue to fight for what it is has been stolen from him with the same passion as when he wants something new.
The only break in Kaiba's misanthropy and social, not so much awkwardness as rudeness, is when it comes to Mokuba. If there is any one thing that is greater than himself in Seto's mind, it is Mokuba. His young brother by five years, Mokuba is like a son and a brother to him. He takes extreme care to ensure that Mokuba is safe and provided for. If anything would befall Mokuba, Seto could never forgive himself.
Rational to a T, it is self-evident that Seto does not automatically take to things like 'the Heart of the Cards.' In the occurrence of any strange happening, Seto searches for a logical answer until he finds it, no matter the length of time. Many times, he calls them tricks or 'false' magic. He has been known to accept certain things when there is absolutely no other explanation, such as the Pegasus incident. In consideration of his past life, Seto spares little thought on it. He lives in the now. Even if he was, a silly thought to tend to, a High Priest of the Pharaoh how many odd years ago, it doesn't have anything to do with now. Does it?

◊ && This is a Champion ◊
From: .birth by sleep.
Character: Larxene
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
The scenarios that had been playing through her head since she 'woke' ran with a new fervor. Think of all the sounds should could work out of his mouth before she silenced it! The color of his blood, how much pressure his bones could take before they snapped, how long it would take him to cave into her. She wanted him to beg~. He'd be so splendid~ as he died. Larxene would take extra care. He needn't worry. His would be the best she delivered.
Her rapture was cut through by a scent, heavy and familiar. For the second time, her smirk fell, slower this time, eyes lit with excitement flickering up before her head lifted. Only one person in any world held that scent. The strong fragrance of flowers. The smirk replaced itself easily. Emerald eyes raked past the girl's face, locking to the figure that stepped up behind her. Even with his hood pulled up, it was second nature to her to recognize those in the Organization by their body shape. Not that the scent wasn't a strong enough indication in itself.
The pet caught her attention again, severely entertained by how animate she was. Larxene's eyes bore into her back until she disappeared. “I do hope she thinks she can hide~.” Finding her new toy would be nothing compared to hunting down all of the organization. She didn't have as free of movements as they did. Dangerously rapt eyes drifted to Marluxia again.
She giggled, turning one heeled boot toward him, chin tilting up. A hand unfurled before her as she addressed his foolish question. Her tone held the same enraptured hazard that shone in her eyes. “Everything he has to give~. Don't tell me that you've forgotten?” Her teeth ground the last word, eyes flickering to the right at her sudden rage. After a brief moment, the spark that crackled over her shoulders and down her back died out.
Larxene wondered silently if he'd been taken out by Sora like she had. And if he'd been smashed in the head. Honestly~. He didn't want to see Axel again for the same reasons as she? Unless he'd got to him already. And the stupid thingyroach came back to life to give Larxene a turn. What a sweetheart~.
But the Organization. She had a both a sinking and rising feeling that it hadn't gone as planned. No, silly, that~. Of course it hadn't. She had died. That was defiantly not as planned. The opposing angles of her thoughts on the failed take over evened themselves out. She really had wanted it to have worked but only if she lived long enough to savor the victory as well.
And she knew, whether he did or not, that Marluxia couldn't hold it on his own.
All the same, she was pleased to see him. Her arms folded, staring into the black shroud that hid his face. “You should know me better than that, Marluxia~.”
