This particular thread is meant to explain why we don't allow any cards or characters and anything else related to GX, 5D's, etc etc..., as well as what we intend dueling to be here.

First of all, this is based on Kazuki Takahashi's Yuugiou, meaning only what he created in his original series, Duelist, and Millenium World are applicable here, and even then only events that took place in the anime. All other parts of Yuugiou are not considered canon here as they were not written nor created by Kazuki Takahashi. They are nothing more than spin-offs, and on this particular site they are considered to be little more than fanfiction. If you wish to take part in a Yuugiou rpg relating to GX or any other spin-off, this rpg is unfortunately not for you, and we urge you not to press the staff with complaints or requests regarding the use of cards from these series, as you will only be linked here.

As well, it should be dually noted that this RPG is meant to recreate what Kazuki Takahashi wanted his readers (or viewers) to see when they saw Yuugiou. Dueling was meant to be only a plot furthering device, and was not originally intended to be the main point of Yuugiou. Thanks to the media and the implementation of Yuugiou into American culture, it has become more of a card-trading game than anything else. Here we use dueling in the way the creator wanted, and therefore we do not want to see nor expect to see many duels taking place around the site in role-play mode, and when they do take place we expect them to be for mostly plot purposes and also be just as long as any normal role-play post we expect from our members. This is also why we don't require our members to have the desire to duel, nor even know how.

So if you wish to approach us with questions or complaints in regards to anything mentioned here, our reply will be something along the lines of what this RPG is meant to be, and how the anime/manga was originally intended.
